If you’re a heavy browser user on your iPhone, here is why I’d recommend Sleipnir over Safari:
- Easy Tab Switching.
It’s very easy to move from one tab to the next, because you can scroll through all the opened tabs very easily and pick whichever tab you want to view, and you can always swipe to the left or right intuitively to switch to the adjacent tabs.
- Easy to Close Tabs.
It’s very easy to close other tabs without leaving the current tab. With a single swipe downward on the tab, it’s immediately closed. The same gesture can also be applied to the active tab.
- Easy Tab Pinning.
The ability to pin down a tab to prevent it from being accidentally closed, just by double tapping it is very quick and useful.
- Easy to Open Multi-Tabs.
Opening multiple links into new background tabs is very easy. Just by tapping and holding the link, it will open in a new background tab. And it works for images too.
- Multiple Tab Groups.
I never thought that doing a research by opening up numerous tabs and managing them on the iPhone is a feasible thing to perform. But Sleipnir changes all these for me by allowing me to create new tab groups and move tabs around different tab groups easily. This allows me to manage parallel research on different topics at the same time rather easily.
- Wi-Fi Transfer.
It’s a very common thing for me and my co-workers to share interesting pages that we browse. Sometimes we tweet or post them in Google+, while other times we just hand over the iPhone to show these pages to the others. With Sleipnir’s Wi-Fi transfer feature, all of the above steps can be greatly simplified.
- In-Page Text Search.
The ability to search for a text within the currently viewed page is a great feature. I think Sleipnir has a better implementation if this feature when compared to Safari for iOS.
- Gestures.
If you really love the gesture-heavy apps like Clear and TweetBot, you’re going to love Sleipnir. It has a lot of gestures that really help your browsing experience to be a lot better.
